An Ode to Opal Jewelry
Meet Opal. Our bestselling gemstone and one of October’s birthstones. Opal is known for its milky hue that quickly turns iridescent when exposed to light, a quality that’s called ‘play-of-colour’ in the world of gemstones.
At A&M, we see opal as a stone of hope, attracting positivity, love and luck into your life. Add opals to your earring, bracelet and necklace stacks when you need a dose of good fortune, or when you’re ready to manifest the next big thing.
Molten Textures
Opals look great paired with organic finishes. The perfect imperfections of molten metal draws attention to the natural occurrence of opals, formed from silica and water over millions of years. Celebrating pear-shaped cuts and the dreamy blues hidden inside every stone, our Terra Collection features some of our community's favourite molten opal jewelry.
Australian Opals
When it comes to opals, Australia is home to the very best. Australia produces around 90% of the world’s opals, with the most common being White or Light Opals like we use in our jewelry. Think, soft, milky pastels with flashes of blue and green.
Natural Australian Opals pair beautifully with Solid Gold to create jewelry that is dainty, luminous, and endlessly wearable. And, because solid gold jewelry is designed to be worn all day, every day, you never have to worry about taking it off.

Opal Piercing Jewelry
Building an Opal ear stack? You’ll need our Opal Piercing Jewelry. With rook bars, cluster studs and opal labrets, we have a style for every piercing. Crafted in 14k Solid Gold, they’re the kind of piercing pieces you can put in once and wear forever.
Care
Because we use genuine natural gemstones, each stone is as unique as we are. You may see some variation in the shape, finish and colour of each piece, but all are beautiful in their own way.
Our Solid Gold pieces are designed to be worn all day, every day, but if you find that they’re losing their shine, use a polishing cloth, or soap and warm water, to bring them back to life.
Our plated pieces need a little extra care to keep them looking their best. Our top tips include:
-
Apply scents or cosmetics before you put on your jewelry, as perfumes and lotions can tarnish.
-
Remove jewelry when exercising, or any other demanding physical work, to avoid sweat.
-
Avoid water, and do not wear in the pool due to harsh chemicals.
