The gauge on our Piercing Collection jewellery is thicker than other A&M earrings. For a comfortable fit, this is best for the first time you're changing from your original piercing jewellery.
As most of our pieces are costume jewellery made from sterling silver or brass, plated with 18ct rose gold, 18ct gold and rhodium, they need special looking after for you to enjoy the beauty for a longer period of time. Here’s a list of tips for you on how to care for your Astrid & Miyu jewellery.
Avoid water: Do not place next to heater, window, air conditioner or in the bathroom. Do not wear in the pool.
Avoid sweat: Remove jewellery when exercising, or any other demanding physical work, as sweating causes the jewellery to tarnish.
Storing in our original boxes or pouches is the best way to keep your jewellery. A zip plastic bag is a great alternative if no longer have the packaging.
Avoid cosmetics: Apply scents or cosmetics before you put on your jewellery. Perfumes and lotions will tarnish the jewellery.

1. Measure the diameter of your existing piercing jewellery to choose the size.
2. Unclip the piercing hoop.
3. Thread the hoop through your ear, from the front of your piercing.
4. Close the ring and click the post into place.

Don’t usually write reviews but I found shopping for rook jewellery difficult and found reviews helpful. The best thing about this hoop is that it’s oval shaped which stops it from sticking too far out from your ear. The clicker design is really easy to use, but very secure. The jewellery itself feels very good quality and looks so pretty! I got my rook pierced with the aim of wearing a hoop in it once it’s healed and I’m so happy to have finally been able to change to a hoop.
